Associate Vice Provost Academic Space Planning At Northeastern University at Northeastern University

Eric Stewart is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in space planning and microbiology. Since December 2006, Eric has held multiple leadership roles at Northeastern University, currently serving as Associate Vice Provost for Academic Space Planning, where responsibilities include strategic planning for 8 million square feet of academic space. Previous positions include Director of Operations for the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex, enhancing interdisciplinary scientific collaboration, and Director of Laboratory Operations and Safety, ensuring effective laboratory function. Eric has also contributed to the Antimicrobial Discovery Center as a Research Assistant Professor and has a background in consulting for local academic and biotech labs. A Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Harvard University complements a robust research foundation established during post-doctoral work and earlier academic pursuits.
