Jack Lesko is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering Research at Northeastern University and as a Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech, Lesko has held significant leadership roles such as the Rolls Royce Commonwealth Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies at Virginia Tech. Notably, Lesko co-founded PowerHub Systems, which developed innovative vehicle charging technology before its acquisition by Fermata Energy. With a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Lesko’s career includes work as a structural engineer at NAVSEA Warfare Centers. Additionally, Lesko contributed to the DC I-Corps program as a National Instructor and Co-PI from 2013 to 2021.
