Kelly Brock is a Senior Research Scientist at Northeastern University, specializing in the integration of machine and deep learning for life sciences applications. Previously, Kelly served as a Senior Computational Biologist at Kernal Biologics, focusing on mRNA sequence design for selective translation. At Harvard Medical School, Kelly held the role of Associate Research Director, leading research on machine learning applications in protein analysis and mentoring junior lab members. Kelly's career includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School where evolutionary couplings analysis was applied for protein structure prediction, as well as a Graduate Student role at MIT concentrating on protein misfolding and evolution. Early experience includes internships focused on evolutionary biology and software development in academic and research settings. Kelly holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Systems Biology from MIT and an S.B. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Harvard University.
