Laurent Lessard

Laurent Lessard is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Associate Professor at Northeastern University since August 2020. Previously, Laurent held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and was a faculty member in the Optimization Group at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, both from August 2015 to August 2020. Laurent's earlier experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at UC Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering from November 2012 to August 2015 and a postdoctoral researcher position at Lund University in the Department of Automatic Control from October 2011 to October 2012. Laurent Lessard received a PhD in Control Theory from Stanford University in 2011, an MS in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Stanford University in 2005, and a BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto in 2003.
