Maria C. Alonso

Maria C. Alonso, NACD.DC, currently serves as the CEO and Regional Dean at Northeastern University and as an Independent Board Director at U.S. Century Bank. Previously, from August 2017 to December 2021, Maria led United Way Miami as President & CEO, overseeing a $40 million budget and a 250-member staff. Maria's extensive experience at Bank of America spanned from March 1995 to July 2017, where roles included Corporate Social Responsibility Market Manager and National Hispanic Marketing Manager, focusing on community engagement and market strategies for the Hispanic segment. Maria began her career as a consultant at Kendall Square Associates, where strategic marketing and business development were key responsibilities. Maria holds an MBA in Marketing from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami.
