Sahar Tavakoli serves as an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Cell and Gene Therapy Programs at Northeastern University since June 2023. Prior to this role, extensive experience was gained as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and Harvard University’s Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Department, as well as at Boston Children's Hospital from September 2015 to April 2023. Sahar also held a Research Fellow position at the National University of Singapore's Centre for BioImaging Sciences from September 2014 to September 2015 and worked as a Research Assistant at the Mechanobiology Institute in mid-2014. The academic journey began at the National University of Singapore, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology was obtained between 2009 and 2014.
