Duane Stott

Duane Stott currently serves as the Head of Operational Strategy and Performance at Northern since March 2024, bringing extensive experience in operational leadership from previous roles, including Efficient Operations Lead for the Great British Railways Transition Team and Head of Operational Strategy and Performance at Northern from March 2021 to May 2023. Stott has a rich background in operational readiness and training management, previously holding positions such as Head of Operational Readiness at Northern Railway and Learning & Development Manager at TransPennine Express. Stott's early career includes a significant tenure with the Royal Air Force, serving as an officer responsible for airfield services across multiple high-traffic military airfields. Stott holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Managerial Psychology from Alliance Manchester Business School and BEng(Hons) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Leeds Beckett University, alongside various certifications in organizational development and business strategy.
