Amelia Ponton is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Legal at the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility since October 2022, Amelia focuses on generating transformational growth in northern Australia through innovative financing solutions. Prior to this role, Amelia spent over six years at Blenheim Chalcot, progressing from Legal Counsel to Senior Legal Counsel, where responsibilities included advising startups on corporate governance and legal matters. Additional experience includes roles as Legal Counsel for the Cook Islands Seabed Minerals Authority, Australian Qualified Lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and various legal positions with a focus on governance, compliance, and environmental law. Amelia holds a Master of Laws in Public International Law from Queen Mary University of London and multiple degrees from Griffith University and The Australian National University.
