Emma Beal

Emma Beal has a diverse range of professional experience, primarily in the education sector. Emma is currently the Principal at Northern College for Adults, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to Sheffield City Council, Emma held the role of 14-16 Work Related Learning Manager at The Sheffield College from 2006 to 2009. Here, they oversaw the institution's strategy for school-based education delivery and managed various operational aspects.

Before their time at The Sheffield College, Emma worked as the Education & Training Manager at Community North Forum from 2005 to 2006. In this role, they secured and managed funding for education and employment projects in deprived communities, developed learning programs, and worked with adult learners who faced significant barriers to employment.

Emma Beal obtained their Bachelor of Arts (hons) degree in Social Studies from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. After a gap in their education, they pursued further studies and completed a Master's degree in Health and Wellbeing from Leeds Trinity University, covering the period from 2015 to 2017.
