Julie Thornton

Julie Thornton serves as the Head of Business Development at Tees Valley Rural Action since June 2018, enhancing the voice of rural communities in the Tees Valley. With extensive experience in youth work, Julie has been the Acting Chair of Governors for Northern Education Trust since 2005 and worked as a Youth Work Consultant for Youth Focus: North East, contributing to social action projects for diverse age groups. Previous roles include targeted youth work at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and leadership positions in various educational and community initiatives. Julie's contributions span over three decades, demonstrating a commitment to youth development, community engagement, and social action. Julie holds a degree from Durham University.
