Barbara has worked with various organizations such as Northern Essex Community College and Southern New Hampshire Services, Inc., where Barbara has held titles such as ESOL Instructor, Career Counselor, and Director. Barbara has also been involved in program development, curriculum development, and advising. With a Master of Education in TESOL and Adult Learning, Barbara has a strong background in education and counseling.

Northern Essex Community College (NECC) in Haverhill, Massachusettseducates and trains residents of all ages and backgrounds living in theMerrimack Valley.Academics at NECC consist of more than 90 degree and certificateprograms. Subject areas include liberal and performing arts, sciences,education, criminal justice, deaf studies, paralegalstudies, businessand health-related fields among others.NECC’s students may earn a career-based degree intended to prepare themfor the workforce or a degree in preparation for a transfer to afour-year university.A combination of high school aged, young adult and mature adult studentsattend NECC. Since students’ needs and educational backgrounds differthere are classes to meet a range of interests.
