Dan Lybarger is a retired United Methodist Pastor with extensive experience in pastoral leadership and community engagement. Since July 2016, Dan has served as the Chairperson of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference Committee on Native American Ministries while continuing to perform pulpit supply and give presentations. In addition to semi-retirement since July 2012 at Knoxville IL United Methodist Church, Dan has a long-standing practice as a Native American flutist and storyteller with Healing Winds since June 1990, engaging in cultural storytelling and flute instruction. Dan's ministry spans from 1969 to the present with the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, pastoring various churches, and previously leading worship and teaching Cherokee language classes at Native American Fellowship/Dayspring UMC from June 2009 to June 2012. Educationally, Dan holds a BS in Sociology and Psychology from Trinity College and Evangelical Theological Seminary.
