Michael Bass

Michael Bass has extensive experience in the gas utility industry, with a career spanning from 1994 to the present. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate Safety at Nicor Gas since 2006, Michael has held various leadership roles including Director of Meter Reading and Director of Field Operations. Notably, Michael contributed to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in New York City in 2012, providing essential support during the recovery phase. Prior to this, Michael worked at JULIE-Illinois One Call Center from 2006 to 2008 and served on the Board of Directors as Vice President of Gas Utility at Nicor Gas from 1994 to 2005, where responsibilities included managing different operational areas and frontline personnel. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Illinois State University.
