Tovah McCord

Tovah McCord has a strong background in various leadership and managerial roles. Tovah'smost recent position was as the Executive Director of Northern Illinois Community Initiatives at Nicor Gas, starting in February 2021. Before that, they served as the Foundation Director for the Chicago Blackhawks, where they managed the distribution of $2M in grant funding for health, wellness, and education initiatives from December 2016 to May 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Director for Big Green, a national nonprofit that builds edible learning gardens in schools, from January 2015 to October 2016. Tovah also has experience in the education sector, having served as the Business and Marketing Manager for the Young Women's Leadership Charter School from September 2005 to November 2014. Tovah began their career as an Assistant Brand Manager at Alberto Culver in February 2004 and Johnson Publishing Company in January 2003. Overall, Tovah has a diverse range of experience in nonprofit management, education, and brand management.

Tovah McCord completed the Civic Leadership Academy program at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago in 2019. Tovah holds a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan and an MBA in marketing from the USC Marshall School of Business.
