Andrea Villasenor

Andrea Villasenor is an experienced graphic designer and educator with a diverse background spanning over three decades in the fields of design and academia. Currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at Northern Illinois University since January 2020, Andrea teaches courses in Visual Communication and has extensive experience as a Senior Graphic Designer at The Newberry since June 2011, leading creative teams and developing brand identities across various media. Previously, Andrea held faculty positions at the International Academy of Design and Technology-Chicago and the American Academy of Art, where numerous courses in design software and principles were taught. Andrea’s professional history includes roles at Kaplan Professional, Creative Circle, and Andersen Consulting, contributing to significant marketing initiatives and team leadership. Educational credentials include a BA from Cornell College and additional studies at the American Academy of Art and Northwestern University.
