Brian Pillsbury

Brian Pillsbury is an experienced staff psychologist and career services professional at Northern Illinois University, where contributions since August 2000 include leadership in career decision-making initiatives, development of an internal internship program, and oversight of daily operations. Brian has conducted presentations on career-related topics, trained instructors on career assessments, and provided holistic career counseling to a diverse student population. Previous experience includes a predoctoral internship at Grand Valley State University, focusing on career and mental health needs, and a research internship at Kansas City Power & Light, where survey and interview methods were developed. Brian holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a B.A. in Psychology from Trinity University.
