Rena Cotsones

Rena Cotsones, Ph.D., serves as Vice President at Northern Illinois University since May 1999, holding various leadership roles including Associate Vice President for Outreach, Engagement and Regional Development, Associate Vice President for Engagement and Innovation Partnerships, Assistant Vice President for Regional Engagement/Rockford, and Executive Director for Community Relations. Prior to this, Rena Cotsones was the Executive Vice President at the Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce from 1994 to 1999. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus on Public Administration from Northern Illinois University (2009-2013) and a Master of Public Administration from the same institution, complemented by undergraduate studies at Illinois State University between 1980 and 1984.
