Joel Heim

Joel Heim currently serves as a Principal Human Performance Consultant at Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Inc., where responsibilities include conducting Human Performance Improvement Training and field coaching. In addition to this role, Joel Heim has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College since 2009, teaching Energy Industry Fundamentals and Power Plant Fundamentals courses. Previously, Joel held various positions at Northern Indiana Public Service Company from 1993 to 2020, including Manager of Training and Development and Human Performance Improvement Program Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as an Electronic Technician in the US Navy Reserve from 1992 to 2002 and as a Reactor Operator in the US Navy from 1987 to 1991. Joel Heim earned an AAS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute between 1983 and 1985.
