Margaret Taggart

Margaret Taggart has extensive experience in electrical and electronics engineering, currently serving as a Transmission Design Engineer at NIE Networks since December 2014, following roles as a Graduate and Trainee Transmission Design Engineer. Margaret has also been recognized as an IET Power Academy Scholarship Student across multiple strategic areas, including Asset Management and Project Delivery. In addition to engineering roles, Margaret holds leadership positions within the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), including Chair and Vice Chair of the IET NI Young Professionals and various roles at IET On Campus at Queen's University Belfast. Previous experience includes a managerial position at Tullyglass House Hotel from February 2012 to February 2020. Margaret earned a Master of Engineering with Honours from Queen's University Belfast between 2014 and 2019 and completed secondary education at St. Mary's Grammar School, Magherafelt.
