Patrick McGowan

Patrick McGowan is an experienced Overhead Transmission Lines Design Engineer at Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) since September 2015, responsible for the design, cost estimation, and procurement of materials for transmission overhead line projects, including refurbishments and new constructions. Prior to this role, Patrick worked as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Mott MacDonald from November 2012 to January 2015, contributing to multidisciplinary teams and offering building services engineering expertise across various sectors such as office, retail, and industrial projects, including significant upgrades to electrical infrastructure and HVAC systems at critical national infrastructure sites. Patrick holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, completed in 2011.
