Brad Hamel

Brad Hamel, EdD, serves as the Executive Director of Global Campus at Northern Michigan University since October 1999, overseeing operations, strategic planning, and student relations from inquiry through alumni engagement. Hamel played a crucial role in establishing the university's Global Campus, focusing on academic program development and financial viability. Previous roles include Director of Alumni Engagement, where efforts centered on enhancing alumni relations and financial support, and Assistant Director of Advancement Communications, managing marketing strategies and fundraising initiatives. Earlier experience includes EMT roles at Bell Hospital and various positions in the equipment operation and sales sectors. Hamel holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning from Alverno College and additional certifications and degrees from Northern Michigan University.
