Jill Grundstrom

Jill Grundstrom is an accomplished artistic director and educator with extensive experience in theatre and dance. Currently serving as Artistic Director, Assistant Department Head, and Assistant Professor at Northern Michigan University since January 2010, Jill has created and taught a variety of dance technique courses and established a dance minor program. Additionally, Jill has held the position of Research Assistant at Teachers College, Columbia University since August 2021. Previous roles include Marketing Director at Frei Chevrolet Inc, Resident Choreographer at Superior Arts Youth Theatre, and Education Associate at American Ballet Theatre. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Dance Education and Movement Science from Teachers College, Columbia University, an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Michigan University, a Master’s Degree in Dance Education from New York University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Northern Michigan University.
