Mark Shevy

Mark Shevy is a Professor and Department Head at Northern Michigan University, specializing in Mass Communication and Media Production since August 2007. In addition to academic responsibilities, Mark serves as the faculty advisor for WUPX student radio and the Marquette Ending Hunger student organization. Mark is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of both Steady Stone Productions LLC, which focuses on sound, lighting, and media production for live events, and Copper Mine Media LLC, providing consulting, research, and media production services. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at Boise State University, Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Director of Ministries at Calvary Chapel Cheyenne. Mark's early career includes positions at EchoStar Corporation and KGWN TV, as well as military service as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's degree in Journalism & Technical Communication from Colorado State University.
