Ben Wilson

Ben Wilson is a Specification and Design Engineer at Northern Powergrid since April 2023, following a lengthy tenure at Freedom Group from June 1997 to April 2023, where roles included Design Team Leader, Design Engineer, and Junior Design Engineer. In the capacity of Design Team Leader, Ben Wilson managed a team of civil design engineers, overseeing projects from inception to completion and reporting to the technical director. As a Design Engineer, responsibilities included producing detailed design drawings and risk assessments for various civil engineering projects within the electricity industry, utilizing software such as AutoCAD and Microstation. Ben Wilson holds an HND in Civil Engineering from Teesside University (1994-1997) and completed education at Northallerton grammar school.
