Carolyn Milburn

Carolyn Milburn is an accomplished communications professional with a strong background in internal communications and marketing. Currently serving as the Internal Communications Lead at Northern Powergrid since April 2024, Carolyn previously held the role of Internal Communications Manager at NCFE from March 2022 to April 2024 and was the Marketing & Communications Lead at Moving On Tyne & Wear from July 2020 to March 2022. During time at The Nutmeg Agency, Carolyn worked as an Internal Communications Lead Consultant, providing expert guidance on internal communication strategies and developing bespoke intranet platforms. Carolyn's early career at Virgin Money included roles as a Campaign Specialist and Colleague Engagement Specialist, focusing on internal communications and employee engagement initiatives. Carolyn earned a Joint Honors Degree in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Dundee between 2002 and 2006.
