Joe Weston

Joe Weston is an experienced electrical engineer currently serving as the Lead EHV Design Engineer at Northern Powergrid since March 2021. Prior to this role, Joe worked at RWE Renewables as an Electrical Engineer, where responsibilities included a three-month secondment focusing on HVDC transmission and participation in various placements during the Electrical Engineering Graduate Scheme. Early career experiences include an engineering student position at AVID Technology Group Limited, specializing in power electronics, as well as roles at Tharsus Group and VIP SKI. Joe completed a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Newcastle University from 2013 to 2018.
