Cara McCormack

Cara McCormack has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Cara currently holds the position of Operations Director MHAOD at Northern Queensland Primary Health Network since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Operations Director, Mental Health and AODS at Mackay Hospital and Health Service from December 2018 to March 2022. Cara also served as the Manager Youth Mental Health at Ballarat Health Services from July 2016 to March 2017. Before that, they worked as a Psychologist at Psylution Worx from October 2012 to July 2016. Cara spent a significant part of their career at Queensland Health, holding various roles such as Program Manager, Team Leader, and Senior Psychologist. Cara also worked as the Acting Mental Health Service Group Director at Townsville Hospital and Health Service from May 2015 to February 2016. Additionally, they have experience as a School Psychologist at Mercy College Mackay and as a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Worker at NSW Health.

Cara McCormack completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from James Cook University between 1994 and 1997. Cara then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Leadership from Griffith University from 2015 to 2018. Following this, they enrolled at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 2018 and completed an Executive Graduate Certificate in Business, specializing in Leadership through Coaching and Mentoring, in 2019.
