Currently serving as the Director of Women's Health at Northern Regional Hospital since May 2021, Joy demonstrates a passion for caring for families through evidence-based care and personal development. Joy's leadership experience also includes a role as Charge Nurse at Northern, specializing in education, leadership, and patient care. Additionally, Joy is the owner of Gilly’s Shaved Ice, a mobile food vendor business that caters to various events. Prior to these roles, Joy accumulated over two decades of experience with HCA Healthcare as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Leader. Joy holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from Liberty University, a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University, and an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Wytheville Community College.
