Gary Pietruszewski is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fundraising and business development. Currently serving as a Gift Officer at Northern Star Scouting, BSA since November 2022, Gary is also actively involved as a Membership Committee Member for the Minnesota Gift Planning Association. With a volunteer role as Executive Director of the Gene Murphy Golf Classic - West Coast, Gary supports fundraising efforts for the University of North Dakota Foundation. Previous positions include Development Officer at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, where Gary managed a diverse portfolio of donors, and various sales roles at Target, Vanguard Cleaning Systems, WindLogics, and Midwest Wind Finance, focusing on business development and market expansion. Northern Star Council, headquartered in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, serves more than 32,000 young people in 21 counties across central Minnesota and four counties in western Wisconsin. More than 21,000 additional youth participants were served at Base Camp and other properties. The council is among the five largest in the United States and is led by over 21,000 volunteers. More than 1,100 community organizations, representing educational, religious, non-profit, civic, and business organizations join in partnership with Northern Star Council by chartering 1,417 Scouting units (packs, troops, teams, crews, posts and groups). The Northern Star Council was created through the merger of the former Viking (Minneapolis) and Indianhead (St. Paul) Councils on July 1, 2005.
