Chris Hadfield

Chris Hadfield, P.Eng, is a seasoned mining professional currently serving as Mine Superintendent at Northern Star Resources Limited since November 2020, following a progression of roles including Senior Planning Engineer and Senior Production Engineer. Previously, Chris held positions at Newmont Corporation where responsibilities included leading underground mining projects and optimizing stope designs. Chris's earlier experience encompasses engineering roles with Goldcorp Inc., MineSense Technologies Ltd., and Teck Resources Limited, focusing on longhole planning, surveying, and technological advancements in mining equipment. Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from The University of British Columbia, completed in 2016.
