Damian Baker

Damian Baker is an experienced mining engineering professional with a career at Northern Star Resources Limited since February 2017, currently serving as an Underground Shift Supervisor. Previous roles at the company included Senior Projects and Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Production Engineer, and Scheduling Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed planning, design, and implementation of mine-level strategies. Prior to this, Damian worked as an Intern Mining Engineer at AMC Consultants, focused on open-pit project tasks, and gained valuable operational experience as a Graduate Mining Engineer, preparing for the First Class Mine Managers ticket. Earlier in their career, Damian held positions at Bunnings and participated in a vacation program at Byrnecut Australia Pty Ltd, gaining insights into the underground mining lifecycle. Damian holds a Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and Management from The University of Western Australia.
