Rob Williams has a diverse work experience in various roles related to the meat industry and agriculture. Rob currently serves as the Chief Veterinary Officer for the Northern Territory Government. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer for the same organization.

Earlier in their career, Rob worked as the Trade Director for the Australian Meat Processor Corporation, establishing projects to address NTBs primarily for trade with China and the Middle East. Rob also served as an Agriculture Counsellor for the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, facilitating trade in agricultural products to China and negotiating trade protocols.

Rob's work experience also includes roles as a manager, overseeing the biological imports program, and as a district veterinarian for the Rural Lands & Protection Board NSW. Rob began their career as a private veterinarian and academia.

Rob Williams completed their Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney from 1988 to 1993. Rob later obtained their Master's degree in Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, and Public Health from the same university from 2003 to 2006.
