Hassam El-Shoura

Hassam El-Shoura is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in institutional business development and client engagement across the Middle East and Africa. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Institutional Business Development at Northern Trust since July 2025, Hassam leads the business development strategy for the region. Prior roles include Director and Head of Client Engagement at SimCorp, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive software solutions for investment management, and Client Engagement Manager at BlackRock, focusing on relationship management within the firm's product lines. Earlier positions include Head of Account Management at eFront and Senior Business Consultant at SimCorp. Hassam began a career in finance with roles at Alternative Investments & Asset Management LLP, Iveagh, and RAB Capital. Hassam holds a BA(Hons) in Business Economics from the University of Portsmouth.
