Lisa R. Hooker

Lisa R. Hooker has over 30 years of work experience in various industries. Starting in 1984, they worked as a Radio News Reporter and Talk Show Host at WHOK, Inc. for four years. Lisa R. then served as the Administrative Officer and Director of Marketing at Fairfield National Division of Park National Bank from 1988 to 1994. Hooker joined Huntington National Bank in 1994, where they held the positions of Assistant Vice President and Business Development Manager. In 1995, they transitioned to NBD Bank as a Banking Officer and Supermarket Retail Banking Manager before becoming the Director of Marketing at First Service Federal Credit Union in 1996. Hooker later worked at South Central Power Co. for 20 years as the Director of Communications and Government Relations, overseeing media relations and publications. In 2000, they established their own company called The Write Words, Ltd., where they wrote for various publications and authored two books. Currently, Hooker serves as the Vice President of Public Relations at NOVEC, responsible for communications, public relations, and government affairs activities.

Lisa R. Hooker pursued their education at The Ohio State University from 1980 to 1984. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism. Prior to attending the university, Lisa completed their high school education at Lancaster High School. Apart from their formal education, Lisa also holds a certification as a Certified Cooperative Communicator (CCC) from the NRECA, which they obtained in 1998.
