Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable front-end architecture for Adobe Commerce (Magento) projects, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experience.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across front-end development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.

  • Conduct thorough technical feasibility assessments and contribute insights to project proposals and timelines.

  • Act as a key facilitator in Agile development processes, overseeing sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to foster team collaboration and project delivery excellence.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in digital solutions.

  • Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise in proposals, presentations, and client meetings, showcasing Northern’s capabilities and solutions.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of web-based applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.

  • Establish and maintain a clear technical vision and strategy for front-end development projects, aligning with organizational goals and client requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to define and execute the front-end technical strategy, ensuring cohesive integration and functionality.

  • Provide strong technical leadership, conducting comprehensive code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Author detailed technical specifications, monitor resource allocation, and manage project timelines effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.

  • Mentor and coach junior team members through proactive guidance, code reviews, and technical consultations to foster skill development and team growth.

  • Participate actively in client meetings to offer technical support, advice, and guidance, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Adobe Commerce (Magento) eCommerce development.
  • Proven experience in leading Adobe Commerce (Magento) eCommerce development projects.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Commerce (Magento) 2.x/Adobe Commerce Cloud, including theming, PWA implementation, and front-end customization.
  • Basic understanding of PHP and MySQL for front-end and back-end integration.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce best practices, SEO, and performance optimization.

Bonus Skills!

  • Experience with Hyva/Tailwind.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices.
