Gonzalo Portilla

Gonzalo Portilla is an experienced investment professional with a strong background in private equity and finance. Since August 2019, Gonzalo has served as an Investment Manager at Northgate Capital. Prior to this role, Gonzalo was the Managing Partner at Vaxa Capital from June 2016 to August 2019, focusing on the acquisition and operation of growing companies in Mexico. Gonzalo also has experience in private equity at Nexxus Capital from August 2011 to June 2015, where Gonzalo contributed to funds raising US$1.2 billion in committed capital. Gonzalo's academic credentials include an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac, complemented by a brief study experience at Universitat de Barcelona.
