Chris Stanton began their work experience in 2007 as a Copy Editor at The Star-Ledger. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as an Energy Reporter at The National Newspaper, covering topics such as oil and gas, renewables, and the nuclear industry. In 2012, they were a Summer Associate at Powerfin Partners, LLC. From 2013 to 2017, Chris worked at Calpine as a Development Manager, leading wind projects in Texas, Oklahoma, and New York. Chris also served as a Rotation Associate, gaining experience in M&A, market analysis, and origination. At IMG Midstream from 2017 to 2019, Chris was a Business Development Manager, overseeing the development and construction of natural gas-fired power plants. Chris then returned to Calpine as a Development Manager, supporting the development of wind projects before they were acquired by Northland Power in 2020. Lastly, Chris joined Northland Power Inc. in 2020 and held various roles, including Director of Project Development and Senior Director of Project Development, focusing on renewable energy projects in the United States and Canada.

Chris Stanton completed their high school education at Regis High School from 1999 to 2003. Chris then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy and Philosophy at Georgetown University, graduating in 2007. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained an MBA degree in Energy Finance from the Texas McCombs School of Business between 2011 and 2013.
