Sieuwert de Zwaan

Sieuwert de Zwaan has a diverse work experience in the energy and finance sectors. Sieuwert started their career as a researcher at Delft University of Technology in 2006. In 2007, they joined ING Commercial Banking as a Vice President in Structured Finance for the Power sector. Sieuwert held this position until 2015 when they became the Director of Structured Finance for Utilities, Power, and Renewables. In 2018, de Zwaan took the role of Director Energy at ING Australia before being promoted to Head of Energy Australia in 2021. In 2022, they moved to ING as the Director of the Energy Sector - Renewables and Power. Currently, de Zwaan holds the position of Director Project Finance at Northland Power Inc. and will assume the role of Global Head Project Finance in 2024.

Sieuwert de Zwaan pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics from Delft University of Technology from 1997 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended McGill University in 1996. Additionally, from 1990 to 1996, they attended VCL.
