Giancarlo V. has over 15 years of experience in the field of compensation and rewards. Giancarlo recently served as Vice President, Total Rewards at Northleaf Capital Partners, leading the company's total rewards initiatives. Prior to that, Giancarlo worked as the Director of Compensation at Mattamy Asset Management from 2020 to 2022. From 2013 to 2020, they held various roles at RBC, including Director of Compensation, Senior Compensation Consultant, and Compensation Consultant. At RBC, Giancarlo led compensation initiatives, managed teams, and designed and implemented compensation programs aligned with business strategy. Before joining RBC, they worked at RBC Investor & Treasury Services as a Rewards Analyst and Compensation Analyst, where they specialized in equity programs, tax preparation, market benchmarking, and pay equity. Giancarlo started their career as a Customer Service Representative at TD Bank and later worked as an Audit and Assurance Associate at PwC, where they gained experience in auditing, client relations, and coaching.

Giancarlo V. pursued their education with a focus on Industrial Relations and Human Resources, completing their Masters degree at the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA co-op degree, majoring in Accounting and Economics, from the University of Toronto Scarborough between 2004 and 2008.
