Sam James

Sam James is a finance professional with a robust background in private credit and structured products. Currently serving as an Associate at Northleaf Capital Partners since April 2023, Sam focuses on asset-based specialty finance. Prior experience includes roles at Guggenheim Partners, where Sam worked in investment banking on structured products origination, and at Nuveen, a TIAA company, conducting structured credit research with a focus on asset-backed securities. Sam began the career at Credit Suisse in an analyst capacity within the CRO Graduate Training Program and gained early experience through internships at UBS, Nuveen, and IGT. Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola University Maryland and has participated in an educational program at University College Cork.
