Roshan Roeder

Corporate VP & President, Defense Systems at Northrop Grumman

Roshan Roeder is corporate vice president and president, Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector, a leading global provider of defense solutions to enable decision-making and defeat advanced threats, while supporting military operations and readiness. In this role, Roeder oversees delivery of a broad spectrum of missiles, tactical weapons and components, all-domain command and control architectures, integrated battle command systems, and sustainment and modernization capabilities to national security, military and civil customers.

Most recently, Roeder served as sector vice president and general manager of the Airborne Multifunction Sensors division for Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector, a leading global provider, manufacturer and integrator of advanced, secure and agile software-defined systems and solutions. She was responsible for all division operations, including a wide range of C4ISR capabilities with a focus on evolving to multi-function sensor capabilities for domestic and international customers.

Since joining Northrop Grumman in 2002, Roeder has held a variety of leadership positions in functional and program management; engineering; manufacturing; business development and as a chief engineer. She fosters successful, collaborative relationships within the company and with her commercial, military and government customers.

Roeder’s experience spans a broad spectrum of global capabilities including air and ground sensors, advanced military communications, network architectures and support systems, transformational computing, ship-based power and machinery control systems, simulation test and training, and web-based workflow logistics systems.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, and is very active in diversity and inclusion initiatives within and external to Northrop Grumman.
