Mia Nicolaysen

Mia Nicolaysen is an experienced professional currently working as an Events Assistant and Front of House Manager at American University since February 2024, specializing in coordinating events between the Katzen Arts Center and various vendors. With a strong background in social media management as a part-time Social Media Coordinator at Northside Realty Inc. since June 2019, Mia has also contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where a curriculum booklet was developed for German middle school students. Previous roles include being a Team Member at Powers Great American Midways and a Barista at Caretta Cafe. Mia holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and is pursuing Master of Arts degrees in International and Intercultural Communication at American University and in International Peace and Security at Korea University. Additional educational experiences include study at the University of Oxford.
