Christopher Cardenas has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Computer Specialist at Circuit City. From 2008 to 2010, they were an IT Manager at Acar Excavation. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Visiting Professor and an IT Manager at DeVry University. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as an Automation Engineer and Network Security Engineer at Globalscape, Inc. Finally, from 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Principal DevOps Engineer at Blackbaud. During their time at Blackbaud, they were responsible for DevOps/DevSecOps Lead, Cloud/DevOps Architecture, engineering custom tooling, and migrating from ECS/Ansible infrastructure to full Infrastructure as code.
Christopher Cardenas received their High School degree from Roosevelt High School in 2006. Christopher then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from DeVry University, which they completed in 2013. After that, Christopher obtained a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from WGU Texas in 2015. Additionally, Christopher has obtained several certifications, including Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator from EC-Council in 2014, Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in 2014, CCENT from Cisco in 2014, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching from Cisco in 2014.
