Michael Mays

Michael Mays has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of surveying and civil engineering. Michael started their career as a Surveying Technician at the City of San Jose in 1985. Michael then worked as a Land Surveyor at Ruth and Going, Inc. from 1990 to 1995. Following that, they joined Kier & Wright Civil Engineers as a Surveying Project Manager from 1995 to 2001. Michael then transitioned to a role as Deputy County Surveyor at the County of Butte from 2001 to 2006. Michael's career progressed as they joined NorthStar, where they served as an Associate Surveyor from 2006 to 2011, then as a Senior Surveyor from 2011 to 2019, and finally as a Senior Managing Surveyor from 2019 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President / Principal Surveyor at NorthStar.

Michael Mays has studied Computer Science and Mathematics at California State University, Chico. Michael has also studied Land Surveying at Evergreen Valley College.
