Richard Ahnen

Richard Ahnen has extensive work experience in engineering roles, specializing in controls and automation. Richard began their career in 1987 as an Application Engineer at Allen-Bradley and then worked as a Systems Design Engineer at IMTA from 1989 to 1991. Subsequently, they served as a Controls Engineer at Quantum Design Inc. for a few months in 1991. From 1992 to 2002, Richard worked at ThyssenKrupp as an R&D Engineer and Senior Controls Engineer. Following this, they pursued self-employment as a Controls Engineer before joining Cardinal Glass as a Process Engineer from 2003 to 2011. Richard then joined PDS IG Equipment as an R&D Engineer, holding the position until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Controls Engineer at RWS DESIGN & CONTROLS, INC. Most recently, Richard served as a Controls Engineer at Big Sky Engineering from 2020 to 2023. Richard is currently employed as a Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer at NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC.

Richard Ahnen attended Palatine High School from 1976 to 1980, although no degree or field of study is specified. Richard then went on to study computer science at Iowa State University from 1980 to 1982. Finally, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at DeVry from 1983 to 1986.
