John (Jay) Nelson's work experience spans over several years in the travel industry. John (Jay) began their career in 1995 as the Regional Director South East at Northstar Travel Media, where they successfully increased sales revenue in the Southeast and Caribbean regions by 50%. In 2000, they were promoted to the role of Publisher, where they continued to excel until 2007. From 2007 to 2009, John served as the Group Publisher at Bonnier Corporation, responsible for budgeting and revenue growth for several publications. John (Jay) then transitioned to Northstar Travel Media as the Travel Weekly Regional Director from 2009 to 2010. In 2009, they also started working at Travel Weekly as the Area Director. Since 2014, John has held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Northstar Travel Group. In this role, they have overseen key accounts and managed sales teams, focusing on technology solutions and client engagement in the travel industry.

John (Jay) Nelson attended Salem State University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Geography.
