Ramon Caban has over 10 years of professional experience in the fields of software and hardware asset management, business intelligence, data engineering, and project management.

From 2018 to present, Ramon has worked at Northstrat Incorporated as a Sr. MicroStrategy Architect & Project Lead. In this role, they are responsible for executive leadership engagement, increasing team member footprint by 50%, and conducting performance/career development and strategic opportunity reviews. Ramon also serves as a MicroStrategy Architect and SME Developer to deliver analytics and reporting from 35 Workflow Applications developed on Pega and Metastorm housing operational, financial, human resource and technical information. Additionally, they have developed and maintained multiple Analytics Dashboards/Dossiers solutions depicting Operational, HR, Audit, CyberSecurity, Procurement and more, including adding D3.

From 2009 to 2018, Ramon worked at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Software Asset Manager, they oversaw the procurement, market research, estimations, distribution, auditing and deployment of a $75M Software Portfolio composed of Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, Oracle, IBM, VMWare, and more enterprise products. Ramon also coordinated the Software Approval and Insertion Process (Testing, Scanning, Deployment, Harvest) and oversaw the IT Help Helpdesk responsible for processing over 500 monthly Software Requests, 10-15 software insertions, and over 2000 email communications.

As a Hardware Asset Manager, Ramon supervised the Asset Management Life Cycle for approximately 85k hardware assets valued at $223 Million (Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices, Servers, Routers, Switches, and other network infrastructure equipment). Ramon also conducted yearly audits of 14,862 assets, valued at $77. 38M, across the TSA enterprise and results surpassed acceptable industry standard with 99. 4%.

In the role of Technical Project Manager, Ramon oversaw IBM Developers and SDLC associated with mission related on-prem and mobile applications valued at $8. 6M for data collection (. Net, SharePoint) and analytics (Cognos). As a Data Engineer, they engineered ETL integration of multiple data sources (SharePoint, Oracle, SQL, SharePoint, and local repositories) containing mission related data sources in for display through SharePoint Dashboard visualizations. Ramon also served as Data Engineer and Architect in providing Data Management best practices and developed small scale data collection applications leveraging in-house capabilities (Microsoft Suite - InfoPath, SharePoint Libraries, Excel Macro, and Access).

Finally, as a Technical Project Manager, Ramon directed the technical implementation of Business Intelligence (MicroStrategy) and associated ETL (SQL, MS Access) of data sources, data modeling, configuration and analytics solutioning. Ramon also served as Project Manager in multiple automation initiatives associated with correspondence processing, workload analytics and Business Intelligence implementation. Additionally, they coordinated logistics and troubleshooting associated with Data Center location changes, server hardware/software upgrades, firewall protocol modifications, and authentication configuration.

Ramon Caban has a diverse educational background. Ramon completed a degree in Social Science with a focus in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras from 2004 to 2009. Ramon then went on to earn a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Strayer University from 2009 to 2011. Ramon most recently completed a degree in Project Management from Georgetown University in 2015. In addition to their degrees, Ramon has obtained several certifications, including MicroStrategy Certified Specialist Administrator (MCSAD) from MicroStrategy in 2019, ITIL Foundations from PeopleCert in 2015, MicroStrategy Administrator from MicroStrategy in 2022, CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in 2019, MicroStrategy Certified Data Scientist (SCI) from MicroStrategy in 2022, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2017, Microstrategy Certified Analyst (ANL) from MicroStrategy in 2019, Alteryx Core Certified from Alteryx in 2018, Contract Officer Representative Lev3 from Defense Acquisition University, and Federal Acquisition Program Manager Lev1 from Defense Acquisition University.
