Ash Ward

Ash Ward currently serves as the Director of Advanced Technologies at Northvolt, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Ash Ward had an extensive career at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc., progressing through roles from Electrolyte Scientist to Head of Battery Development from July 2016 to June 2023. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and graduate research at UC Berkeley, culminating in a PhD in Chemistry. Ash Ward started in the field as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at The George Washington University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry before further advancing in research roles at the National Institute of Health.
