Ilmari Juntura

Ilmari Juntura is a seasoned mechanical engineer with a robust background in mechanical design, specializing in development projects related to Notching, Stacking, and Cell Assembly machinery at Northvolt since September 2021. Ilmari has held various engineering roles, including Senior Mechanical Engineer, focusing on additive manufacturing, CAD design, digitalization, and automation in machine shops and battery cell manufacturing lines. Prior experience includes positions as Maintenance Foreman at Outokumpu, where responsibilities encompassed work planning and spare part manufacturing, and a Mechanical Designer role at Respetra Oy, involving CAD modeling and technical drawing preparation. Ilmari has also engaged in diverse roles such as Process Operator and Longshoreman, alongside military service as a Sergeant in the Finnish Defence Forces. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Oulu, Ilmari previously earned a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the same institution.
