Matthew Howard

Matthew Howard is a seasoned professional in the battery technology sector, currently serving as Category Manager for Anode Active Materials at Northvolt since March 2021, where Matthew has established multi-billion dollar partnerships with key battery material suppliers to support the company's growth. Prior to this, Matthew held various roles at BAT from 2017 to 2021, including Battery Engineer II and Battery Engineer, where significant contributions were made to battery development and innovation. Their earlier experience includes a stint at the UK Ministry of Defence as a Materials/Electronic Engineer. Matthew holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Central Lancashire.
